Changes in History
After Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat and after the Civil Rights Movement were making new progress in changing the laws, new history was born. Social history in the past has been changed and improved many times, just as did Rosa Parks in American history. Although history has been recorded and still is, it shows you what happened in one period of time. The past can be compared with the present, and the present can be compared with the future. Historians can decipher what happened before the turning point, and what happens after the turning point. All history that has been changed can be looked back at, but what happened in the past can't be changed. Only what waits ahead of us in the future can be changed, just as the Civil Rights Movement strived for. The Civil Rights Movement didn't know if they're boycotts and freedom rides would change history, but they never gave up. Therefore, they're boycotts and freedom rides did in fact change history and made the African Americans gain more freedom. The land that history took place on is also important, referring to all the locations where segregation and unequal rights went on. History of the Civil Rights Movement will never be forgotten, it will always be remembered.
